Boy, I think HCBK is getting tossed into the garbage pile undeservedly. This bank will be gone by sometime in 2009 at an above market multiple. Don't be surprised at a price between $25 and $30 when they go. The Chairman has as much said if someone out there thinks the stock is worth more than HCBK thinks its worth, they would have to sell to satisfy shareholders. They have a remarkable footprint which is very attractive to potential suitors.

In other words, the current price is very attractive for 2 year time horizon.

I am a holder of SYNF. I hope to hold my position until it is long term. I think now is an excellent time to buy SYNF given the current selling pressure being applied by those in need of cash for New Haven. How can you go wrong buying a NJ thrift that is well run and acting like a commercial bank?

Third Century is located in an extremely fast going suburb of Indianapolis. In three years this little puppy will be gone. They have two deposit generating branches in retirement homes that require very little overhead. LNCB recently announced an acquisition in this market, not many small thrifts or banks left.

I am on owner and intend to buy more.
